What Is Hip Hop & R&B Bingo with Tom Swoope?

Hip Hop & R&B Bingo with Tom Swoope is a live touring music game show for grown folks. Instead of numbers, the bingo boards are filled with Hip Hop and R&B songs. A live DJ plays the track, a live drummer plays behind it, the whole room sings it, and the first person to fill a line hits BINGO and gets paid cash on the spot.

It is not traditional bingo and it is not a DJ night. It is a full production: DJ, live drummer, and Tom Swoope hosting the room start to finish, with storytelling segments between rounds. Every ticket includes 8 bingo boards. Markers are sold separately at the show. Bingo boards and markers are show production, not merchandise.

The show has sold out more than 300 rooms across the United States and Canada, including a national run of City Winery theaters.

Who Is Tom Swoope?

Tom Swoope is an entertainer, comedian, storyteller, and event producer, and the creator, host, and producer of Hip Hop & R&B Bingo with Tom Swoope. He is also the voice behind First Off In My Opinion, the storytelling and commentary brand that earned him the name Mr. Story Time.

He is the author of Story Time: Dating My Way Through the Bullsh*t, released September 5, 2026, and the host of the First Off In My Opinion podcast on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. He tours nationally out of Houston, Texas.
